who having known the ordinance of God, that the ones practicing such things are worthy of death, not only do them, but also approve the ones practicing them.
Then has the good become death to me? Let it not be! But sin, that it might appear to be sin, having worked out death to me through the good, in order that sin might become excessively sinful through the commandment.
For it was better for them not to have fully known the way of righteousness than fully knowing it to turn from the holy commandment having been given over to them.
