Since the days of our fathers we have been in great guilt until this day. And for our iniquities we, our kings, our priests, have been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to plunder, and to shame of faces to this day.
And one shall say in that day, Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is Jehovah; we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.
And therefore Jehovah waits to be gracious to you. And for this He is exalted to have mercy on you; for Jehovah is a God of judgment. Blessed are all who wait for Him.
