Blessed be Jehovah who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He has spoken; not one word of all His good Word has fallen, which He spoke by the hand of His servant Moses.
And they burned the house of God, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem; and they burned all its fortresses with fire, and destroyed all its articles of desire.
And all the sons of Israel were watching, when the fire came down, and the glory of Jehovah was on the house and they bowed their noses to the earth, on the pavement, and worshiped, and gave thanks to Jehovah: for He is good, for His mercy endures forever.
And the priests were standing over their charges, and the Levites with instruments of music to Jehovah, that David the king had made to give thanks to Jehovah (for His mercy endures forever) when David praised by their hand; and the priests were blowing trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.
In the days of her affliction and her wanderings, Jerusalem remembers all her desirable things from previous days in the falling of her people into the hand of the oppressive one, and there is no ally for her. The oppressive ones saw her; they laughed at her annihilation.
How the Lord has clouded over the daughter of Zion in His anger! He cast the beauty of Israel down from the heavens to the earth, and did not remember His footstool in the day of His wrath.
The Lord has cast off His altar; He rejected the holy place. He has delivered the walls of her fortresses into the hand of the enemy. They gave a noise in Jehovah’s house, as a day of meeting.
Speak to the house of Israel, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will profane My sanctuary, the pride of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities. And your sons and your daughters whom you have forsaken shall fall by the sword.
And you, son of man, will it not be on the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their beauty, the desire of their eyes, and the lifting up of their soul, their sons and their daughters?
And the Angel of Jehovah answered and said, O Jehovah of Hosts, until when will You not have compassion on Jerusalem, and on the cities of Judah, which You have abhorred these seventy years?
But Jesus said to them, Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, Not will be left one stone on a stone which not will be thrown down, not one!
the whole land shall be burned with brimstone and salt; it shall not be sown, nor shall it sprout; nor shall any herb come up in it. It shall be like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboim, which Jehovah overthrew in His anger and in His fury.
