For You are our Father, though Abraham does not know us, and Israel does not recognize us; You, Jehovah, are our Father, our Redeemer; Your name is from everlasting.
And David blessed Jehovah before the eyes of all the congregation; and David said, Blessed are You, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, our father, for ever and ever.
For the living know that they shall die; but the ones having died do not know anything, and not to them is any more a reward, for their memory is forgotten.
So says Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought all of them down as ones fleeing, even the Chaldeans, whose shout is in the ships.
So says Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, and his Former-, Do you ask Me of the things to come? Do you give command to Me about My sons, and about the work of My hands?
You shall also suck the milk of nations, and you shall suck the breast of kings. And you shall know that I, Jehovah, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
And there is not one who calls on Your name, who stirs himself up to take hold of You. For You have hidden Your face from us, and have melted us away into the hand of our iniquities.
For a Child is born; to us, a Son is given; and the dominion is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
But I said, How gladly would I put you among the sons, and give you a pleasant land, a beautiful inheritance among the multitudes of nations! And I said, You shall call Me, My Father; and you shall not turn away from following Me.
They shall come with weeping, and I will lead them with supplications. I will cause them to walk by torrents of waters, in a right way; they will not stumble in it. For I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My first-born.
Yet the number of the sons of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which is not measured nor numbered. And it shall be, in the place where it is said to them, You are Not My People, it shall be said to them, Sons of the Living God.
A son honors his father, and a servant his master. and if I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is My fear? says Jehovah of Hosts to you, O priests who despise My name. But you say, In what have we despised Your name?
Is there not one father to us all? Has not one God created us? Why do we act deceitfully, each man with his brother, to pollute the covenant of our fathers?
