Look down from Heaven and peer from the place of Your holiness and Your glory. Where is Your zeal and Your might? The roaring of Your bowels and Your mercies toward me, are they held back?

But will God in truth dwell on the earth? Behold, the heavens and heaven of the heavens cannot contain You; how much less this house which I have built!

And the priests, the Levites, rose up and blessed the people, and their voice was heard, and their prayer came to His holy dwelling place, to Heaven.

A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes on You, You who dwell in Heaven.

Remember, O Jehovah, Your compassions and Your mercies; for they are from eternity.

From His dwelling place He looks on all the ones living in the earth.

In His holy dwelling God is a father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows.

And I said, This is my sickness, the years of the right hand of the Most High;

O God of Hosts turn back, we pray! Look down from Heaven and see and watch over this vine;

even the shoot which Your right hand has planted, and on the Son You made strong for Yourself.

Lord, where are Your former kindnesses that You swore to David in Your faithfulness?

On account of this my belly shall sound like a harp for Moab, and my bowels for Kir-haresh.

Jehovah, Your hand is high; they do not see; they see and are ashamed of the zeal of the people. Yea, the fire of Your adversaries devour them.

For a remnant shall go out of Jerusalem, and the escaped out of Mount Zion; the zeal of Jehovah of Hosts shall do this.

Jehovah goes out as a mighty One; and He stirs up His zeal like a man of war; He shall shout, yea, roar; He shall act mightily on His enemies.

Can a woman forget her suckling child, from pitying the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will surely not forget you.

For so says the One being high and being lifted up, He who inhabits eternity, and Holy is His name: I dwell in the high and holy place, even with the contrite one and the humble of spirit, to make live the spirit of the humble ones and to make live the heart of the contrite ones.

For He put on righteousness like body armor, and a helmet of salvation on His head. And He put on robes of vengeance as clothing; and He put on zeal like a mantle.

In all their affliction, He was not a foe; and the Angel of His Presence saved them. In His love and in His pity He redeemed them. And He bore them up, and He lifted them up all the days of old.

Will You restrain Yourself over these things, Jehovah? Will you be silent and exceedingly afflict us?

So says Jehovah: Heaven is My throne, and earth the footstool of My feet. Where then is the house that you build for Me? And where then is the place of My rest?

There is no end to the increase of His dominion and of peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to sustain it with judgment and with righteousness, from now and to eternity. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will do this.

Is Ephraim My dear son? Or is he a delightful child? For as often as I spoke against him, remembering I remember him still. So My bowels are stirred for him; pitying I will have pity on him, a statement of Jehovah.

until Jehovah shall look down and see from Heaven.

How shall I give you up, Ephraim? Shall I deliver you, Israel? How shall I make you like Admah? Shall I set you as Zeboim? My heart has turned within Me; My compassions are kindled together.

And Jehovah will be jealous for His land and have pity on His people.

through the tender bowels of mercy of our God, in which the Dayspring from on high will visit us,

Look down from Your holy habitation, from Heaven, and bless Your people Israel, and the land which You have given to us, as You swore to our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Therefore, if there is any comfort in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender bowels and mercies,

Whoever has the means of life of the world, and sees his brother having need, and shuts up his bowels from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
