Is it not to break your bread to the hungry, that you should bring the wandering poor ones to your house? When will you see the naked ones and cover him, and you will not hide yourself from your flesh?

And there is no power for our hand, and our fields and our vineyards are in the possession of other men.

You have not given water to the faint to drink, and you withheld food from the hungry.

He has scattered; he has given to the needy ones; his righteousness is standing forever; his horn shall be lifted up with honor.

A merciful man does good to his own soul, but the cruel one troubles his own flesh.

The good of eye, he is blessed, for he gives of his bread to the poor one.

if you hold back to snatch away those being taken to death, and those stumbling for killing;

If one hating you is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink,

The one giving to one being poor shall not lack, but the one hiding his eyes shall have plenty of curses.

and if you let out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the soul of the afflicted one; then your light shall rise in the darkness, and your gloom shall be as the noonday.

So says Jehovah, Do justice and righteousness, and deliver the one plundered from the hand of the oppressing one. And do not oppress the alien, the widow, or the orphan, and do not do violence and not shed innocent blood in this place.
