this is not the fast I have chosen: to open bands of wickedness, to undo thongs of the yoke, and to send out free the ones being oppressed, and that you pull off every yoke?

and now, my father laid a heavy yoke on you, and I will surely add to your yoke; my father chastised you with whips, and I with scorpions.

And now, hear me, and return the captives you have seized from your brothers, for the heat of the anger of Jehovah is on you.

if you hold back to snatch away those being taken to death, and those stumbling for killing;

Learn to do good, seek justice, straighten the oppressor, judge the orphan, strive for the widow.

He who walks righteously and speaks with uprightness; he who rejects the gain of oppressions, who shakes his palms free from taking the bribe, who stops his ear from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from looking at evil.

Let the wicked one forsake his way and the man of iniquity his thoughts, and let him turn back to Jehovah, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will multiply to pardon.

Then you shall call, and Jehovah will answer; you shall cry, and He shall say, Behold Me. If you put the yoke away from your midst, the sending out of the finger, and the speaking of iniquity;

So says Jehovah, Do justice and righteousness, and deliver the one plundered from the hand of the oppressing one. And do not oppress the alien, the widow, or the orphan, and do not do violence and not shed innocent blood in this place.

So says Jehovah of Hosts, Those oppressing the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah together; yea, all who captured them and held them fast; they refused to let them go.

So, O king, let my counsel be pleasing to you: Even break off your sins by righteousness, and your iniquities by pitying the humble one, whether there will be duration to your prosperity.

or all that about which he swore falsely, he shall even repay it in its principal, and the fifth part he shall add to it; to whomever it belongs. He shall give it on the day of his guilt offering.

But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. And let them call with strength to God. And let them each man turn back from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their palms.

So says Jehovah of Hosts, saying, Judge true judgment, and practice kindness and pity, each man with his brother.

For I see you being into the gall of bitterness and the bond of unrighteousness.

Let as many as are slaves under a yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name and teaching of God may not be blasphemed.
