Isaiah 55:13

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

Instead of the thorn-bush, the fir tree shall come up; instead of the brier, the myrtle shall come up; and it shall be for a name to Jehovah, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

And it shall be for a sign and for a witness to Jehovah of Hosts in the land of Egypt. For they shall cry to Jehovah because of those oppressing; and He shall send to them a savior, even a great one, and will save them.

Thorns and briers shall go up on the land of My people; even over all the houses of joy in the jubilant city,

This people that I formed for Myself shall recount My praise.

And I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned and not hoed; but briers and thorns shall come up. And on the clouds I will command the rain from raining on it.

For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you; nor shall the covenant of My peace be removed, says Jehovah who has pity on you.

I, even I will give to them in My house and in My walls a hand and a name better than sons and than daughters; I will give them an everlasting name which shall not be cut off.

The glory of Lebanon shall come to you: the juniper, the box tree, and the cypress together, to beautify the place of My sanctuary; yea, I will glorify the place of My feet.

Instead of bronze, I will bring gold; and instead of iron, I will bring silver. And instead of timber, bronze; and instead of stones, iron. And I will set your overseers peace, and those oppressing you righteousness.

And your people, all of them, shall be righteous ones; they shall possess the earth forever, a branch of My planting, a work of My hands, to beautify Myself.

to appoint to the mourning ones of Zion, to give them beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of the spirit of infirmity, so that one calls them trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, in order to beautify Himself.

leading them by Moses’ right hand, with His glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make for Him an everlasting name?

As the cattle go down into the valley, so the Spirit of Jehovah caused him to rest; so You led Your people, to make a name of glory for Yourself.

Ask a sign from Jehovah your God; make deep the asking, or make it high above.

And they shall come, and they shall all rest in the steep ravines, and in the clefts of the rocks, and in all the thorn-bushes, and in all the pastures.

With arrows and with the bow, he shall come there; because all the land shall be briers and thorns.

For as this girdle holds fast to the loins of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to Me for a people, and for a name, and for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear.

And it shall be a name of joy to Me, a praise and a glory to all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do for them. And they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the peace that I do for it.

They shall ask the way there to Zion, with their faces pointing there, saying, Come and let us join ourselves to Jehovah in an everlasting covenant never to be forgotten.

And there will not be a pricking brier or a painful thorn to the house of Israel any more from all who surround them, those who hate them. And they shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

Their best is like a thorn; the upright one more than a hedge of thorns. The day of your watchers, your visitation is coming; now shall be their confusion.

I saw at night. And, behold! A Man riding on a red horse. And He stood in the midst of the myrtle trees in the ravine. And behind Him were red, reddish brown, and white horses.

Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth, good will among men.

In this My Father is glorified, that you should bear much fruit; and you will be disciples to Me.

I speak as a man on account of the weakness of your flesh. For as you presented your members as slaves to uncleanness and to lawlessness unto lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness unto sanctification.

So then if anyone is in Christ, that one is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have come to be new!

If anyone speaks, let it be as the words of God; if anyone serves, as by strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ; to whom is the glory and the might to the ages of the ages. Amen.
