Isaiah 45:1

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

So says Jehovah to His anointed, to Cyrus, whom I have seized by his right hand, to subdue nations before him. Yea, I will open the loins of kings, to open the two leaved doors before him, and the gates shall not be shut.

For I Jehovah your God am strengthening your right hand, who says to you, Do not fear, I will help you.

Who raised up in righteousness from the east? He called him to His foot; He gives nations before him, and subdues kings; He gives them as dust to his sword, as driven stubble to his bow;

I have raised up one from the north; and he shall come from the rising of the sun; he will call on My name. And he shall come upon rulers as on mortar, and as a potter tramples clay.

I, Jehovah, have called You in righteousness, and will hold up Your hand, and will keep You, and give You for a covenant of the people, for a Light of the nations;

He says to Cyrus, You are My shepherd; and he shall complete all My pleasure, even for Me to say to Jerusalem, You are built; and to the temple, You are founded.

I am Jehovah, and there is not one besides; there is not one except Me. I will clothe you, though you do not know Me,

I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him, I brought him, and he causes his way to prosper.

And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant. And I have also given him the beast of the field to serve him.

And say to them, So says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel, Behold I will send and take Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, My servant, and will set his throne on these stones that I have hidden. And he shall stretch his pavilion over them.

For a nation comes up against her from the north, which shall make her land a horror. Yea, no one shall dwell in it. They shall flee, they shall go up, both man and animal.

A sword is on the Chaldeans, a statement of Jehovah, and on those living in Babylon, and on her rulers, and on her wise men.

Polish the arrows, fill the shields; Jehovah has stirred up the spirit of the kings of the Medes. For His plan is against Babylon, to destroy it, because it is the vengeance of Jehovah, the vengeance of His temple.

The mighty men of Babylon have stopped fighting. They have dwelt in strongholds; their might has withered; they became women; they have burned their houses, her bars are broken.

So says Jehovah of Hosts, Baring, the broad walls of Babylon shall be laid bare, and her high gates shall be burned with fire. And the peoples shall labor as for vanity, and a people as for fire; and they shall be weary.

For his labor which he served against it, I have given him the land of Egypt, because they worked for Me, a statement of the Lord Jehovah.

Then the king’s brightness was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, and the joints of his loins shook, and his knees knocked one against this other.

And, behold, another beast, a second, like a bear. And it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth. And thus they said to it, Rise up, eat much flesh.

Then I lifted up my eyes and saw. And behold! A ram was standing before the canal, and to it were two horns. And the two horns were high, but one was higher than the other, and the higher one came up last.

I saw the ram thrusting westward and northward and southward, so that all beasts might not stand before him, and none could deliver out of his hand. But he did according to his will and became great.

The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be melted.

Behold, your people are women in your midst; opening the gates of your land shall be opened to your enemies; the fire shall devour your bars.
