And now listen, My servant Jacob, and Israel whom I have elected.

And I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and your seed after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be [for] God to you and to your seed after you.

O seed of His servant Abraham; O sons of Jacob, His elect.

an inheritance to His servant Israel; for His mercy endures forever;

For Jehovah will have pity on Jacob, and will yet choose among Israel, and set them in their own land. And the alien shall be joined to them; and they shall join themselves to the house of Jacob.

But you Israel are My servant, Jacob whom I have elected; the seed of My friend Abraham;

whom I have made strong from the ends of the earth, and called you from its sides; and I said to you, You are My servant. I elected you, and I have not rejected you.

Who among you will give ear to this, and will listen and hear for the time to come?

But now so says Jehovah who created you, O Jacob; and He who formed you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I called you by your name; you are to Me.

Remember these, O Jacob, and Israel. For you are My servant; I have formed you; you are My servant, O Israel; you shall not forget Me.

For My servant Jacob’s sake, and for Israel My elect, and I call you by your name, I name you, but you do not know Me.

Listen to Me, O Jacob, and Israel My called: I am He; I am the First; surely I am the Last.

Stretch your ear and come to Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will cut an everlasting covenant with you, the faithful mercies of David.

And you, O My servant Jacob, do not fear, a statement of Jehovah. Do not be terrified, O Israel. For, behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity. And I will bring back Jacob and have quiet and be untroubled, and no one will make him afraid.

The lion has come up from his thicket, and a destroyer of nations has set out. He has left his place to make your land a waste. Your cities will fall into ruins without one living in them.

Jerusalem! Jerusalem! The one killing the prophets, and stoning the ones having been sent to her, how often I desired to gather your children in the way a hen gathers her brood under the wings, and you did not desire it.
