You see many things, but do not observe; your ears are open, but do not hear.

Whoever is wise and will observe these things, even they shall discern the kindnesses of Jehovah.

The ox knows his owner, and the ass his master’s manger, but Israel does not know; My people have not understood.

Yet they seek Me day by day, and desire knowledge of My ways. As a nation that has done right, and not forsaking the judgment of their God, they ask of Me judgments of righteousness; they desire to draw near to God.

And He said, Go and say to this people, Hearing you hear, but do not understand; and seeing you see, but do not know.

To whom shall I speak and give warning and they may hear? Behold, their ears are not circumcised, and they are not able to pay attention-. Behold, the Word of Jehovah is a reproach to them; they have no delight in it.

And they come to you as peoples come, and they sit before you as My people. And they hear your words, but they do not do them. For they produce much love with their mouth, but their heart goes after their unjust gain.

And, behold, you are to them as a singer of love songs with a beautiful voice, and playing well on an instrument. For they hear your words, but they are not doing them.

for all the men who are seeing My glory, and My signs which I have done in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tried Me these ten times, and have not listened to My voice,

Because of this, I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

Therefore the one teaching another, do you not teach yourself? The one preaching not to steal, do you steal?

Only, be on guard for yourself and guard your soul very much, that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen; and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And you shall make them known to your sons, and to your sons’ sons.
