Are You not our God? You dispossessed those living in this land from before Your people Israel, and have given it to the seed of Abraham, Your friend, forever;
For Jehovah will have pity on Jacob, and will yet choose among Israel, and set them in their own land. And the alien shall be joined to them; and they shall join themselves to the house of Jacob.
Who is a blind one but My servant? Or a deaf one, as My messenger whom I send? Who is a blind one as he who is at peace, and is a blind one as Jehovah’s servant?
But now so says Jehovah who created you, O Jacob; and He who formed you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I called you by your name; you are to Me.
You are My witnesses, a statement of Jehovah; and My servant whom I have elected; that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me no God was formed; and after Me not shall be.
For You are our Father, though Abraham does not know us, and Israel does not recognize us; You, Jehovah, are our Father, our Redeemer; Your name is from everlasting.
Have you not seen what these people have spoken, saying, The two families that Jehovah has chosen, He has also rejected them? And they spurn My people, no more to be a nation before them.
And do not think to say within yourselves, We have a father, Abraham. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
Why the Law then? It was added for the sake of transgressions, until the Seed should come, to whom it had been promised, being ordained through angels in a mediator’s hand.
For you are a holy people to Jehovah your God; and Jehovah has chosen you to be a people to Him, a special treasure out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.
And the Scripture was fulfilled, saying, “And Abraham believed God, and it was counted for righteousness to him;” and he was called Friend of God. Gen. 15:6; Isa. 41:8
