Because of your raging against Me, and your arrogance has come up to My ears, even I will put My hook in your nose, and My bridle in your lips; and I will turn you back by the way you came in.

Can you put a reed rope into his nose, or pierce his jaw with a thorn?

Be not like the horse, like the mule, with no understanding; with bit and bridle his gear to be held in, that they do not come near you.

The nations roared; kingdoms were shaken; He gave forth His voice and the earth melted.

Do not forget the voice of ones vexing You; the noise of those rising up against You is going up continually.

Those vexing You have roared in the midst of Your meeting place; they set up their own signs for signs.

For behold, Your enemies are roaring; and those who hate You have lifted up their head.

And it will be, when the Lord has broken off all His work in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, I will call to account on him the fruit of the greatness of heart of the king of Assyria, and on the glory of his high eyes.

And now have I come up against this land to destroy it without Jehovah? Jehovah said to me, Go up to this land and destroy it.

And the chief cupbearer said to them, Say now to Hezekiah, The great king says this, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this in which you trust?

So you shall say to Hezekiah, king of Judah, saying, Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the king of Assyria’s hand.

He shall return by the same way that he came in, and he shall not come into this city, a statement of Jehovah.

Behold, I am giving into him a spirit, and he shall hear a rumor, and return to his own land. And I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

But I will put hooks in your jaws, and I will cause the fish of your rivers to stick to your scales. And I will bring you up from the midst of your rivers, and all the fish of your rivers shall stick to your scales.

And you magnified with your mouth against Me and have multiplied your words against Me; I have heard.

And I will turn you back and put hooks into your jaws. And I will bring you and all your army out: horses and horsemen, all of them clothed most perfectly; a great assembly with buckler and shield, all of them handlers of swords.

The Lord Jehovah has sworn by His holiness that the days are coming that He will lift you up with meat hooks, and the last of you with hooks for fishing.

And seeing that nothing is gained, but rather an uproar occurs, taking water, Pilate washed his hands before the crowd, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just One; you will see.

And they heard him as far as this word, and lifted up their voice, saying, Take away such a one from the earth, for it is not fitting that he should live!

And falling on the earth he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul! Why are you persecuting Me?
