And they called with a great voice in Jewish, against the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to frighten them and to terrify them, that they might capture the city.
And Eliakim and Shebna and Joah said to the chief cupbearer, Please speak to your servants in Aramaic, for we hear. But do not speak to us in Jewish, in the ears of the people on the wall.
But the chief cupbearer said, Has my master sent me to your master and to you to speak these words? Is it not on the men who sit on the wall, to eat their own dung, and to drink the water of their feet with you?
It may be Jehovah your God will hear the words of the chief cupbearer whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and rebuke against the words which Jehovah your God has heard. And you shall lift up prayer for the remnant that is found.
even behold, therefore the Lord also brings up on them the waters of the River, mighty and many, the king of Assyria and all his glory. And he shall come up over all its waters, and go over all its banks.
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and honor the King of Heaven, for all His works are truth, and His ways are justice. And He is able to humble those who walk in pride.
