And the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of oppression; but your teachers shall not be hidden any more; but your eyes shall be able to see your teachers.

and say, So says the king, Put this one in the house of restraint, and cause him to eat the bread of oppression, and the water of oppression, until I come in peace.

And you shall say, So says the king. Put this one in prison and cause him to eat the bread of pain, and the water of pain, until my return in peace.

For I have eaten ashes like bread, and have mingled my drink with weeping,

Being early to rise is in vain for you, being late to sit up to eat the bread of toils is vain; for so He gives His beloved sleep.

For His anger is only a moment; in His favor is life. Weeping may endure in the evening, but a ringing cry of joy comes in the morning.

Pray, therefore, to the Lord of the harvest that He send out workers into His harvest.

confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting to continue in the faith, and that through many afflictions we must enter into the kingdom of God.

And indeed He gave the ones to be apostles; and the ones prophets; and the ones evangelists; and the ones shepherds and teachers;

You shall not eat leaven with it. You shall eat unleavened bread with it seven days, even the bread of affliction. For you came out of the land of Egypt in haste, so that you may remember the day that you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.
