So, the Lord Jehovah says this: Behold, I place in Zion a Stone, a tried Stone, a precious Cornerstone, a founded Foundation; he who believes shall not hasten.
And they rose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah and those living in Jerusalem. Trust in Jehovah your God, and trusting you will trust in His prophets and prosper.
And therefore Jehovah waits to be gracious to you. And for this He is exalted to have mercy on you; for Jehovah is a God of judgment. Blessed are all who wait for Him.
Because you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold in pieces. The great God has made known to the king what shall occur after this, and the dream is true, and the meaning of it is trustworthy.
For, behold, I will bring forth My Servant, the BRANCH. For behold, the stone which I have given before Joshua, on the one stone are seven eyes. I will engrave its engraving, says Jehovah of Hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
Jesus said to them, Did you never read in the Scriptures, “A Stone which the builders rejected, this One became the Head of the Corner? This was from the Lord, and it is a wonder in our eyes?” Psalm 118:22, 23
as it has been written, “Behold, I place in” “Zion a Stone-of-stumbling,” “and a Rock-of-offense,” “and everyone believing on Him will not be shamed.” LXX and MT-Isa. 28:16; MT-Isa. 8:14
However, the foundation of God stands firm, having this seal, “The Lord knows the ones being His.” Also, Let every one naming the name of Christ stand away from unrighteousness.
