For the living know that they shall die; but the ones having died do not know anything, and not to them is any more a reward, for their memory is forgotten.
And what will you do in the day of visitation and of ruin? It comes from far away. To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?
Yours who died shall live, my dead body, they shall rise up. Awake and sing, those dwelling in the dust; for the dew of lights is your dew; and the earth shall cast out departed spirits.
And when they say to you, Seek to the mediums, and to spirit-knowers who peep and mutter; should not a people seek to its God, than for the living to seek the ones who died?
