Isaiah 25:4

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

For You are a stronghold to the poor one, a stronghold to the needy one in his distress, a refuge from storm, a shadow from heat; because the breath of the terrifying one is like a storm against a wall.

But He sets on high the needy one from affliction, and He sets families like a flock.

I have clung to Your testimonies; O Jehovah, do not shame me.

For the pain of afflicted ones, for the sighing of the needy ones, I will now rise up, says Jehovah; I will set in safety; he pants for it.

Jehovah is the One keeping you; Jehovah is your shade on your right hand.

All my bones shall say: O Jehovah, who is like You, who delivers the weak one from the ones stronger than he; yes, the poor and needy one from his plunderer?

I would hasten to my escape from the rushing wind, from the tempest.

He shall have pity on the needy one and the poor one; and He saves the souls of the needy one .

He shall judge the poor of the people; and He shall save the sons of the needy one; and He shall crush the oppressor.

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Jehovah, have not forsaken those who seek You.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide in the shade of the Almighty.

But He shall judge the poor ones in righteousness, and shall decide with uprightness for the humble ones of the earth. And He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and He shall cause the wicked one to die with the breath of His lip.

What then shall one answer to the messengers of the nation? That Jehovah has founded Zion, and the afflicted one of His people shall trust in it.

Take counsel; do judgment; make your shadow as the night in midday; hide the outcasts; do not uncover the fugitive!

Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and you did not remember the Rock of your strength, on account of this you shall plant plants of pleasantness, and shall sow it a foreign shoot.

Or will he lay hold of My strength that he may make peace with Me? Let him make peace with Me.

and a spirit of justice to him who sits on the judgment seat; and for might to those turning back the battle toward the gate.

And the humble ones shall increase joy in Jehovah, and the poor of men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

For the terrifying one ceases; and the one scorning is ended; and all that watch for iniquity are cut off;

And the host of ones estranged to you shall be as fine powder, and as chaff passing, the host of terrifying ones; and it will happen suddenly, instantly;

And a Man shall be a hiding place from the wind, a shelter from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place; like the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

He shall live on high; strongholds of rocks will be his retreat; his bread shall be given; his waters are faithful.

O Jehovah, favor us. We have hoped in You; be their arm in the mornings, our salvation also in time of distress.

And the Angel of Jehovah went out and struck a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of Assyria. And they rose early in the morning; and, behold! They were all corpses who died.

But so says Jehovah, Even the captives of a mighty one shall be taken, and the plunder of the terrifying ones shall be delivered. For I will contend with him who contends with you; and I will save your sons.

When you cry, let your gatherings deliver you; but the wind shall lift up all of them; vanity takes them. But he who takes refuge in Me shall inherit the land and possess My holy mountain.

And My hand has made all these things, even all these things exist, a statement of Jehovah. But I will look toward this one, to the afflicted one, and to the contrite of spirit, even trembling at My Word.

And He shall be for a sanctuary, and become a Stone-of-Stumbling and shall be a Rock -of-Falling to the two houses of Israel; for a trap and for a snare to the one living in Jerusalem.

O Jehovah, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the nations shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, Our fathers have inherited only lies, vanity, and there is no profit in them.

And you shall go up, you shall come like a storm; you shall be like a cloud to cover the land, you and all your bands, and many peoples with you.

I will also leave a poor and weak people in your midst, and they shall trust in the name of Jehovah.

Hear, my beloved brothers, did not God choose the poor ones of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to the ones loving Him?
