And you made a reservoir between the walls, for the water of the old pool. But you did not look to its Maker, and you did not see its Former from long ago.
And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and brought in the waters to the city, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah?
then the city was broken up, and by night all the men of war went by way of the gate, between the two walls by the king’s garden; and the Chaldeans were against the city round about; and the king went the way toward the Arabah.
After him Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of the half part of Beth-zur, made strong in front of the Tombs of David, and to the pool that was made, and to the house of the mighty men.
