Surely the sons of men are vanity, the sons of man are a lie; they go up in the scales; they are lighter than vanity together.

When its boughs dry up, they are broken off. Women shall come and kindle them, for it is not a people of discernment. On account of this his Maker will not pity him, and his Former will not favor him.

And man is bowed down, and man is humbled, and the eyes of the proud ones are humbled.

But Jehovah of Hosts is exalted in judgment, and God the Holy One is seen holy in righteousness.

And you went to the king with oil and multiplied your perfumes. And you sent your messengers far away, and lowered yourself to Sheol.

Yet, O Jehovah, You know all their counsel to death against me. Do not atone for their iniquity, not do blot out their sin from Your face, but let them be those made to stumble before You; deal with them in the time of Your anger.

for all sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Let no one rule against you, willing in humility and worship of the angels, intruding into things which he has not seen, being puffed up by the mind of his flesh without cause,

Which things indeed are a matter of having wisdom in self-imposed worship and humility, and severity in abuse of the body, but are not of any honor unto gratification of the flesh.

And Joshua said to the people, You cannot serve Jehovah, for He is a holy God; He is a jealous God. He will not lift up from you your transgressions or your sins.
