And his land is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.

And he shall not gaze to the altars, the work of his hands; and he will not see what his fingers have made, even the Asherahs, and the sun pillars.

Jehovah our God, masters beside You have governed us; only in You we will mention Your name.

and have given their gods into the fire (for they were not gods, only the work of men’s hands, wood and stone; and they have destroyed them.

The craftsman pours out the molten image, the smelter spreads it with gold; and he casts the chains of silver.

Behold, they are all evil; their works are nothing; their molten images are wind and vanity.

being inflamed with idols under every green tree, slaughtering the children in the torrent beds, under the clefts of the rocks?

And I will speak My judgments against them on all their evil, those who have forsaken Me and have burned incense to other gods, and have worshiped the works of their hands.

For according to the number of your cities were your gods, O Judah; yea, according to the number of the outside places of Jerusalem you have set up altars to the thing of shame, altars to burn incense to Baal.

But where are your gods that you have made for yourselves? Let them arise, if they can save you in the time of your evil; for according to the number of your cities are your gods, O Judah.

Is Gilead evil? Surely they have been vanity. They sacrificed bulls in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the field.

And now they sin more and more, and they have made themselves a molten image of their silver, idols according to their understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen. They say of them, Men who sacrifice, let them kiss calves.

Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride on horses. We shall not say any more to the work of our hands, Our gods! For in You the fatherless finds mercy.

For it also came from Israel: The artisan made it, but it is not God. For the calf of Samaria shall be splinters.

And I will cut off sorceries out of your hand, and there shall not be ones divining for you.

But awaiting them in Athens, Paul’s spirit was provoked within him, seeing the city utterly idolatrous.

And there you shall serve other gods, there the work of man’s hands, wood and stone, which cannot see, and not hear, and not eat, and not smell.

And the rest of men, the ones who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they will not worship demons, and “golden idols, and silver, and bronze, and stone, and wooden idols, which neither are able to see, nor to hear,” nor to walk.
