Isaiah 19:1

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

The burden of Egypt: Behold! Jehovah rides on a light cloud and comes into Egypt. And the idols of Egypt shall tremble from before Him; and the heart of Egypt shall melt in its midst.

Sing to God, sing praise to His name; lift up a song for Him who rides in the deserts, by His name Jehovah; yea, exult in His presence.

And I will pass through in the land of Egypt in this night. And I will strike every first-born in the land of Egypt, from man even to livestock. And I will execute judgments on all the gods of Egypt. I am Jehovah!

The burden of Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw:

On account of this all hands shall droop, and every heart of man shall melt;

In that day Egypt shall be like women; and it will tremble and dread from before the shaking of the hand of Jehovah of Hosts, which He waves over it.

And, behold this, a chariot of a man comes, a pair of horses. And he answered and said, Babylon has fallen, has fallen! And He has shattered the graven images of her gods to the earth.

Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and his servants, and his rulers, and all his people;

Behold, he shall come up like clouds, and his chariots like a windstorm. His horses are swifter than eagles. Woe to us, for we are plundered!

to provoke Me to wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, there where you have gone to sojourn, that I might cut you off, and that you might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

Declare among the nations, and make them hear, and lift up a banner. Make them hear, do not hide it; say, Babylon is captured, Bel is put to shame, Merodach is broken in pieces, her images are put to shame, her idols are broken in pieces.

And I will visit Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he has swallowed up. And the nations shall not flow together any more to him; yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.

So says the Lord Jehovah: And I will destroy the idols, and I will make vanities cease from Noph. And there shall not any longer be a ruler of the land of Egypt. And I will put fear in the land of Egypt.

Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a wilderness of desolation, from violence done to the sons of Judah, whose innocent blood they poured out in their land.

Jehovah is long to anger, and is great of power, and acquiting He does not acquit the guilty. Jehovah has His way in the tempest and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.

And He shall pass through the sea of distress and strike the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile shall dry up. And the pride of Assyria shall go down, and the scepter of Egypt shall turn away.

And if the family of Egypt does not go up, and not come in, even not on them will be rain, but the plague with which Jehovah shall strike the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Booths.

And the Egyptians were burying those whom Jehovah had executed among them, every first-born, and Jehovah had executed judgments on their gods.

None is like the God of Jeshurun, riding the heavens for your help, and the clouds in His majesty.

And we have heard, and our heart has melted, and there still does not rise spirit in any man, because of you. For Jehovah your God, He is God in the heavens above, and in the earth below.

And they said to Joshua, Truly Jehovah has given all the land into our hands. And also, all those living in the land have melted before us.

And she said to the men, I know that Jehovah has given the land to you, and that your terror has fallen on us, and that all those living in the land have melted before you.

“Behold, He comes with the clouds,” and “every eye will see Him, and those who pierced” Him, and all the tribes of the earth “will wail on account of Him.” Yes, Amen. Dan. 7:13; Zech. 12:10
