In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria captured Samaria, and removed Israel to Assyria, and made them live in Halah, and in Habor, by the river Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

So says Jehovah, As the shepherd snatches two legs out of the mouth of the lion, or a piece of an ear, so shall the sons of Israel be saved, those who dwell in Samaria in a corner of a bed, and in Damascus on a couch.
Jehovah will be frightening to them, for He will make lean all the gods of the earth; each man from his place, and all the isles of the nations will bow to Him.
