And it shall be, when it is seen that Moab shall be wearied on the high place, then he shall come to his sacred place to pray, and he shall not be able.

Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the sons of Ammon;

This is the Word that Jehovah had spoken to Moab from then.

Jehovah, they visited You in distress; they poured out a whisper; Your chastening was to them.

And it happened as he was worshiping in the house of his god Nisroch, even his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer struck him with the sword. And they escaped into the land of Ararat. And his son Esar-haddon reigned in his place.

You are exhausted by your many counsels; let those dividing the heavens stand up now and save you, the seers into the stars, making known what is coming on you into the new moons.

They are like a rounded palm tree, and they cannot speak; lifting they must be lifted, because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil and not good; it is not with them.

And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of their confidence in Bethel.

Also I will cause him who offers in the high places to cease in Moab, a statement of Jehovah, and he who burns incense to his gods.

Woe to you, Moab! The people of Chemosh have perished. For your sons are taken away into exile, and your daughters into exile.

For because you have trusted in your works and in your treasures, you shall also be captured. And Chemosh shall go into exile; his priests and his rulers together.

For a fire has gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon; it has consumed Ar of Moab, the lords of the high places of Arnon.

And Balaam went with Balak. And they came to Kirjath-huzoth.

And it happened in the morning, and Balak took Balaam and caused him to go up to the high places of Baal. And from there he saw the edge of the people.

And he took him to the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bull and a ram on the altar.

And Balak took Balaam to the height of Peor, which looks toward the wilderness.

I shall see him, but not now; I shall behold him, but not near. A star marches out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel and shall dash the corners of Moab, and tear down all the sons of tumult.
