They have crossed the ford; they have bedded down at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul has fled.

And the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities he built, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah? Only, at the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.

So says Jehovah, A voice was heard in Ramah, wailing, bitter weeping: Rachel weeping over her sons; she refuses to be comforted for her sons, for they are not.

O Israel, you have sinned from the days of Gibeah. There they stood. The battle against the sons of iniquity did not overtake them in Gibeah.

Blow a rams’ horn in Gibeah, a trumpet in Ramah. Cry aloud, Beth-aven; after you, O Benjamin.

They have deeply corrupted, as in days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity; He will call their sins to account.

And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon and its open lands, Geba and its open lands,

And Saul also went to his house, to Gibeah, and with him went the force whose hearts God had touched.

And the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul. And they spoke the words in the ears of the people. And all the people lifted up their voice and wept.

And Saul and his son Jonathan, and the people who were found with them, were dwelling in Gibeah of Benjamin; and the Philistines pitched in Michmash.

And Saul chose for himself three thousand out of Israel. And two thousand were with Saul in Michmash, and in the hills of Bethel. And a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin. And he sent the rest of the people each man to his tent.

And the garrison of the Philistines went out to the pass of Michmash.

And Saul was abiding at the edge of Gibeah, under the pomegranate which is in Migron; also the people with him, about six hundred men.

And between the passes by which Jonathan sought to go over to the Philistine garrison, there was a rocky crag on the one side, and the rocky crag opposite this; and the name of the one was Bozez, and the name of the one, Seneh.

The one crag was a pillar on the north in front of Michmash, and the one on the south in front of Gibeah.

And Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house, in Gibeah of Saul.

And he returned to Ramah, for his house was there. And there he judged Israel; and he built an altar to Jehovah there.
