Woe to those who decree decrees of iniquity, and writers who write toil;

those who make a man sin by a word, even they ensnare the reprover in the gate, and turn aside the righteous one by emptiness .

Woe to the wicked one! For the evil thing, the doing of his hand will be done to him.

Jehovah will enter into judgment with the old ones of His people, and their rulers. For you have eaten up the vineyard, the plunder of the afflicted one is in your houses.

Woe to those who rise early in the morninog pursue fermented drink, tarrying in the twilight while wine inflames them!

Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as with ropes of a cart;

who justify the wicked one for a bribe, and turn aside the righteousness of the righteous ones from him!

Woe to those touching house to house, bringing near field to field until the end of space! And you are made to dwell alone in the midst of the land!

transgressing and lying against Jehovah, and backsliding from after our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and murmuring words of falsehood from the heart.

No one calls for righteousness, and no one judges with truth. Trusting in emptiness, and speaking vanity, they conceive mischief and give birth to iniquity.

Woe to him who builds his house without righteousness, and his upper rooms without justice, his neighbor serves for nothing, and he does not give him for his work;

panting for the dust of the earth to be on the head of the poor one, and stretch out the way of the humble one. And a man and his father will go in to the same girl, in order to profane the name of My holiness.

And one has kept himself as to the statutes of Omri and all the works of the house of Ahab. And you walk in their counsels, so that I may give you for a horror, and ones living in her for a hissing. And you shall bear the reproach of My people.

Woe to him who builds a town with blood and establishes a city by iniquity!

Woe to him who causes his friend to drink, joining with your bottle, and also making him drunk, so as to look upon their nakedness!

Woe to the one who says to the wood, Awake! To a stone in silence, Rise up, it shall teach! Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, but no breath is in its midst.

Shall not all of these lift up a parable against him, and a mocking riddle to him, and say, Woe to him who increases what is not his! Until when is he loading the pledges on himself?

Woe to him gaining evil gain for his house, to set his nest in the height, to be snatched from the palm of evil!

Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the powerful acts which had happened in you had happened in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithes of mint and dill and cummin, and you have left aside the weightier matters of the Law: judgment, and mercy, and faith. It was right to do these, and not to have left those aside.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which outwardly indeed appear beautiful, but within are full of bones of the dead, and of all uncleanness.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets, and adorn the tombs of the righteous.

Indeed, the Son of Man goes, as it has been written about Him. But woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is given over. It were good for him if that man was never born.

Woe to you, lawyers! Because you took the key of knowledge; you yourselves did not enter in, and you hindered the ones entering in.

Therefore when the chief priests and the under-officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, Crucify! Crucify! Pilate says to them, You take Him and crucify Him, for I find not even one cause of death in Him!

His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone should confess Him as Christ, he would be expelled from the synagogue.

Woe to them, because they went the way of Cain, and gave themselves up to the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the rebellion of Korah!
