And when you spread out your palms, I will hide My eyes from you; also, when you multiply prayer, I will not hear. Your palms are full of bloods.

And Solomon stood before the altar of Jehovah, across from the assembly of Israel, and spread his palms toward the heavens;

And it happened as Solomon finished praying to Jehovah all this prayer and supplication, he arose from before the altar of Jehovah, from bending on his knees, and his palms spread out to Heaven;

And at the evening offering I rose up from my fasting, and with my garment and my robe torn, I even fell on my knees and spread out my hands to Jehovah my God.

Terrors shall overtake him like waters; a tempest steals him away in the night.

Surely, God will not hear vanity, and the Almighty will not look upon it.

Truly, You are a God who hides Himself, O God of Israel, the Savior.

Behold! You fast for strife, and for debate, and to strike with the fist of wickedness. Do not fast as today, to sound your voice in the heights.

Is it not to break your bread to the hungry, that you should bring the wandering poor ones to your house? When will you see the naked ones and cover him, and you will not hide yourself from your flesh?

And there is not one who calls on Your name, who stirs himself up to take hold of You. For You have hidden Your face from us, and have melted us away into the hand of our iniquities.

And I will wait for Jehovah, who hides His face from the house of Jacob; and I will look for Him.

Therefore Jehovah says this: Behold, I will bring evil on them from which they shall not be able to go forth from it. And though they cry to Me, I will not hear them.

I will not hear their cry when they fast; and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering I will not be pleased with them. But I will consume them by the sword, and by famine, and by the plague.

For I have heard a voice as of one weakened, the anguish as one bearing her first child, the voice of Zion’s daughter gasping and spreading her palms, saying, Woe is to me now, for my soul faints because of murderers!

You have multiplied your wounded ones in this city, and you have filled her broad places with wounded ones.

Son of man, these men have made go up their idols in their hearts, and have set the stumbling block of their iniquity before their faces. Should I at all be sought by them?

And the nations shall know that the house of Israel was exiled for their iniquity, because they acted unfaithfully toward Me, so I hid My face from them and gave them into the hand of their enemies; and they fell by the sword, all of them.

They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Jehovah, but they shall not find Him; He has withdrawn Himself from them.

Then they shall cry out to Jehovah, but He will not answer them. He will even hide His face from them in that time, as they have done evil in their doings.

And it will be, just as He called, and they did not listen; so they called, and I did not listen, says Jehovah of Hosts.

But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of Heaven before men; for you do not enter, nor do you allow those entering to go in.

But when you pray, do not be babbling vain words, as the nations; for they think that they shall be heard in their much speaking.

But we know that God does not hear sinful ones, but if anyone is God-fearing, and does His will, He hears that one.

Therefore, I purpose the men to pray in every place, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting.
