And the people thirsted there for water, and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Why, then, have you caused us to go up from Egypt, to cause me and my sons and my livestock to die with thirst?

O generation, see the Word of Jehovah. Have I been a wilderness to Israel, or a land of darkness? Why do My people say, We roam; we will come no more to You.

And they did not say, Where is Jehovah who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, who led us in the wilderness, in a land of deserts and of pits, in a dry land and death shade, in a land that not a man has passed through, and not a man has lived there?

For so says Jehovah concerning the king of Judah’s house, You are Gilead to Me, the head of Lebanon; if not I will make you a wilderness, cities not lived in.

I looked, and, behold! The fruitful place was a wilderness, and all its cities were broken down before the face of Jehovah, before the anger of His nostrils.

Her cities have become a ruin, a dry land and a wilderness, a land in which no man dwells, and not does a son of man pass by it.

For Israel and Judah have not become widowed ones by his God, by Jehovah of Hosts, though their land was filled with guilt against the Holy One of Israel.

And in all your abominations and your fornications you have not remembered the days of your youth, when you were trodden down in your blood.

And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground.

Though he is fruitful among brothers, an east wind shall come. The wind of Jehovah comes up from the wilderness, and his spring shall be ashamed, and his fountain shall be dried up. He shall plunder the treasure of all desirable vessels.

And now I will reveal her shamefulness to the eyes of those loving her, and not a man shall deliver her out of My hand.

And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, and will make her desolated and naked. And they will eat her flesh, and will burn her up with fire.

And he was exceedingly thirsty, and called to Jehovah and said, Surely You have given this great deliverance by the hand of Your servant. And now I am dying with thirst and will fall into the hand of the uncircumcised.
