And afterward his brother came out, and his hand was holding to the heel of Esau; and his name was called Jacob. And Isaac was a son of sixty years when she bore them.

And Jacob was left alone. And a Man wrestled with him until the ascending of the dawn.

And He saw that He had not prevailed against him. And He touched on his hip socket, and Jacob’s hip socket was unhinged as he wrestled with Him.

And He said, Send Me away, for the dawn has ascended. And he said, I will not let You go unless You bless me.

And Jacob asked and said, Please reveal Your name. And He said, Why do you ask this about My name? And He blessed him there.

And Jacob called the name of the place, there where God had spoken with him, Beth-el.

And he blessed Joseph and said, The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has fed me since I was born until today;

He turns the sea into dry land; they pass through the river on foot; there we will rejoice with Him.

In all their affliction, He was not a foe; and the Angel of His Presence saved them. In His love and in His pity He redeemed them. And He bore them up, and He lifted them up all the days of old.

Behold, I am sending My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And the Lord whom you are seeking shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of Hosts.

Then we who remain alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to a meeting with the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.

who in the days of His flesh was offering both petitions and entreaties to the One being able to save Him from death, with strong crying and tears, and being heard from His godly fear;
