A Song of Ascents. Many times they have distressed me from my youth, let Israel now say;

You have seen what I did to Egypt; and I bore you on wings of eagles and brought you to Me.

And you shall speak to Pharaoh, So says Jehovah, My son, My first-born is Israel.

And I said to you, Send My son away, and let him serve Me; and you refused to send him. Behold, I am about to kill your son, your first-born!

Since you were precious in My eyes, you are honored, and I love you, and I give men instead of you; and peoples instead of your soul.

I have forsaken My house; I have left My inheritance. I have given the beloved of My soul into the palm of her enemies.

Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, So says Jehovah, I remember you, the kindness of your youth, the love of your betrothals, your going after Me in the wilderness, in a land not sown.

And in all your abominations and your fornications you have not remembered the days of your youth, when you were trodden down in your blood.

And when I passed by you and saw you ready to be trodden down in your blood, I said to you in your blood, Live! Yea, I said to you in your blood, Live!

So He does to you, Bethel, because of your great evil. In the dawn, cutting the king of Israel shall be cut off.

And by a prophet Jehovah brought up Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was guarded.

And I am Jehovah, your God from the land of Egypt; yet I will make you live in tents, as in the days of meeting.

And I am Jehovah, your God from the land of Egypt; and you shall not know other gods than Me. For there is not a Savior besides Me.

And from there I will give her vineyards to her, and the valley of Achor for an opening of hope. And she shall answer there as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

I have loved you, says Jehovah. But you say, In what way have You loved us? Was not Esau brother to Jacob, and I loved Jacob? A statement of Jehovah.

And he was there until the end of Herod, that might be fulfilled that spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I have called My Son. Hosea 11:1

Yes, He loves the peoples; all His holy ones are in Your hand; and they sit down at Your feet; He lifts up each at Your words.

Jehovah did not set His love on you or choose you because you were more in number than any people, for you were the fewest of all peoples.
