And Ephraim is a trained heifer, loving to tread out. But I passed over on the goodness of her neck; I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow; Jacob shall harrow for him.

Does the plowman plow all day to sow? Does he open and break the clods of his ground?

For so says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations to serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. And they shall serve him. And I have given him the beasts of the field also.

Egypt is a beautiful heifer, but a stinger coming out of the north comes.

And Jehovah said to me, Go again, love a woman loved by a friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of Jehovah toward the sons of Israel, who turn to other gods, and love raisin cakes of grapes.

For as a heifer, rebelling Israel rebels. Now Jehovah will feed them as a lamb in a roomy place.

O Israel, do not rejoice for joy, like the peoples. For you have fornicated away from your God. You have loved hire on all threshing-floors of grain.

Rise up and thresh, O daughter of Zion, for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs bronze, and you shall crush many peoples. And I will dedicate their gain to Jehovah, and their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.

For such ones do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth speech and fine speeches they deceive the hearts of the ones without guile.

You shall not muzzle an ox when he is treading out grain.
