And were amazed the ones of faithful circumcision, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out on the nations also.

Then if God gave the same gift to them as also to us, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, and I, who was I to be able to hinder God?

And God, the knower of hearts, testified to them, giving them the Holy Spirit, even as also to us.

But Peter said to him, May your silver be with you into perdition, because you thought to get the gift of God through money.

For I long to see you, that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, for the establishing of you;

in whom the god of this age has blinded the thoughts of the faithless ones, so that the illumination of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine on them.

Because it is God who said, “Out of darkness Light shall shine,” the One who shone in our hearts to give the illumination of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Isa. 42:6, 7, 16

This only I desire to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by works of Law or by hearing of faith?

Therefore the One supplying the Spirit to you and working works of power in you, is it by works of Law or by hearing of faith?

the eyes of your mind having been enlightened, for you to know what is the hope of His calling, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

for by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;

of which I was made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me, according to the working of His power.

But to each one of us was given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Do not neglect the gift in you, which was given to you through prophecy, with laying on of the hands of the elderhood.

in meekness instructing the ones opposing, if perhaps God may give them repentance for a full knowledge of the truth,

Alexander the coppersmith showed many evil things to me. The Lord “will give back to him according to his works.” LXX-Psa. 61:13; MT-Psa. 62:12 ; Prov. 24:12

But call to mind the former days in which having been enlightened you endured much struggle of sufferings.

God bearing witness with them, both by miraculous signs and wonders, and by various works of power, even by distributions of the Holy Spirit, according to His will.

If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not unto death, he shall ask; and He shall give life to the one not sinning unto death. There is a sin unto death. I do not say that he should ask about that.
