And they did not listen, and hardened their necks, like the necks of their fathers, who did not remain faithful to Jehovah their God.

Now do not stiffen your necks like your fathers. Give a hand to Jehovah and come to His sanctuary that He has sanctified forever; and serve Jehovah your God. And the anger of His face will turn away from you.

And also he rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God; and he stiffened his neck and hardened his heart from turning to Jehovah the God of Israel.

But they and our fathers seethed and hardened their necks, and did not listen to Your commands.

He is wise in heart and mighty in strength; who has been hard against Him and been at peace?

and they lusted a lust in the wilderness, and tested God in the desert.

And they tested God in their heart, by asking food for their souls.

Yet they tested and provoked the Most High God; and they did not keep His testimonies;

do not harden your heart as in the day of strife, as in the day of testing in the wilderness;

And one called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the quarreling of the sons of Israel, and because of their testing of Jehovah, saying, Is Jehovah in our midst, or not?

And Pharaoh saw that there was relief. And he hardened his heart, and he did not listen to them.

Blessed is the man who is always in awe of God! But he who hardens his heart falls into an evil way.

A man of chastisements who hardens his neck shall be broken with suddenness, and there will be no healing.

Yet they did not listen to Me and did not stretch out their ear, but they stiffened their neck. They did more evil than their fathers.

But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit grew hard to act proudly, he was cast down from the throne of his kingdom, and his majesty was taken away from him.

And Jehovah said to Moses, Until when will this people despise Me? And until when will they continue not to believe in Me for all the signs I have done in its midst?

For the heart of this people has grown fat, and they heard heavily with the ears, and they have closed their eyes, that they not see with the eyes, or hear with the ears, and understand with the heart, and be converted, and I shall heal them.” Isa. 6:9, 10

But when some were hardened, and did not obey, speaking evil of the Way before the multitude, going away from them, he separated the disciples, conversing according to a day in the school of a certain Tyrannus.

This one led them out, having worked wonders and miraculous signs in the land of Egypt and in the Red Sea, and forty years in the wilderness.

Neither over-tempt the Christ, as some of them tempted, and were destroyed by serpents.

You shall not test Jehovah your God as you tested Him in Massah.

And why do you make heavy your heart as the Egyptians and Pharaoh made heavy their heart? When He thrust hardly with them, did they not send them away? And they went.
