I am the Living Bread, the One having come down from Heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he will live to the age. And indeed the bread which I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
And some were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.
How much worse punishment do you think will be thought worthy to receive, the one having trampled the Son of God, and having counted common the blood of the covenant in which he was sanctified, and having insulted the Spirit of grace?
Therefore since the children have partaken of flesh and blood, in like manner He Himself also shared the same things, that through death He might do away with the one having the power of death, this is, the devil;
who in the days of His flesh was offering both petitions and entreaties to the One being able to save Him from death, with strong crying and tears, and being heard from His godly fear;
who has no need, as do the high priests, to offer sacrifices according to a day, firstly for His own sins, then for the ones of the people, for this He did once for all, having offered up Himself.
nor through the blood of goats and of calves, but through His own blood, He entered once for all into the Holy of Holies, having procured everlasting redemption.
by how much more the blood of Christ (who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God), will purify your conscience from dead works, to serve the living God!
since it was necessary for Him to suffer often from the foundation of the world. But now once, at the completion of the ages, He has been revealed for putting away of sin through the sacrifice of Himself.
so Christ having been once offered “to bear the sins of many,” Christ shall appear a second time without sin to the ones eagerly awaiting Him unto salvation. Isa. 53:12
who “Himself carried up in His body our sins” onto the tree; that having died to sins, we might live to righteousness; of whom “by His wound you were healed.”
Because even Christ once suffered concerning sins, the Just One on behalf of the unjust ones, that He might bring us to God; indeed being put to death in the flesh, but being made alive in the Spirit;
This is the One having come through water and blood, Jesus Christ; not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the One witnessing, because the Spirit is the truth.
