And he said to him, Did not my heart go out when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to take silver, and to take garments and olives, and vineyards, and flock, and herd, and male slaves, and slave-girls?
Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah. And he spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, So says Jehovah of Hosts: Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house like the high places of a forest.
So says Jehovah, Again there shall be heard in this place, which you say shall be waste, not with man, and not with beast, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate not with man, not with one living in it, and not with beast,
So says Jehovah of Hosts, Again in this place which is a waste, not with man and also beast, and in all its cities shall be a home of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
The Lord has cast off His altar; He rejected the holy place. He has delivered the walls of her fortresses into the hand of the enemy. They gave a noise in Jehovah’s house, as a day of meeting.
Speak to the house of Israel, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will profane My sanctuary, the pride of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities. And your sons and your daughters whom you have forsaken shall fall by the sword.
Therefore, on account of you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become a heap of ruins, and the mountain of the house into high places of the forest.
You looked for much, and, behold, little! And when you brought it home, then I blew on it. Why, a statement of Jehovah of Hosts? Because of My house that is ruined, and you, each man, run to his own house.
