And I will visit evil on the world, and their iniquity on the wicked ones. And I will cause the arrogance of the proud ones to cease; and I will humble the pride of tyrants.
The king answered and said, Is this not great Babylon that I have built for the house of the kingdom, by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty?
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and honor the King of Heaven, for all His works are truth, and His ways are justice. And He is able to humble those who walk in pride.
I say to you, This one went down to his house having been justified, rather than that one. For everyone exalting himself will be humbled. And the one humbling himself will be exalted.
knowing that a man is not justified by works of Law, if not through faith of Jesus Christ (we also believed into Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith of Christ and not by works of Law, because all flesh will not be justified by works of Law). Psa. 123:2
the one opposing and exalting himself over every thing being called God, or object of worship, so as for him “to sit in the temple of God” as God, setting forth himself, that he is God. Dan. 11:36; Eze. 28:2
Likewise, younger ones be subject to older ones; and all being subject to one another. gird on humility, because God sets Himself “against proud ones, but He gives grace to humble ones”. Prov. 3:34
