Habakkuk 1:13

King James 3 - The Literal Traslation

You are of purer eyes than to look upon evil, and You are not able to look upon mischief. Why do you regard those acting deceitfully? Will You be silent when the wicked one swallows the more righteous one than he?

And when wicked men have slain a righteous man in his own house on his bed, should I not even now seek his blood from your hand, and burn you from the earth?

And Jehovah shall turn back his blood on his own head, who has fallen on two men more righteous and better than he, and murdered them with the sword; and my father David not knowing: Abner the son of Ner, the commander of the army of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, the commander of the army of Judah.

For if you are completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance shall rise up to the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house shall perish. And who knows if you have reached to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Behold, He puts no trust in His holy ones; yea, the heavens are not clean in His eyes.

Why do the wicked ones live? They grow old, and become mighty in power.

He gives security to him, and he leans on it; yet His eyes are on their ways.

Break the arm of the wicked and evil one; search out his wickedness until You find none.

with the pure You reveal Yourself as pure; and with the perverting ones You appear perverse;

Yea, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; let those who act deceitfully be ashamed.

O Lord, how long will You look on? Draw back my soul from their desolations, my only one from the lions.

You have seen, O Jehovah; do not keep silence, O Lord, do not be far from me.

Let them not say in their hearts, Aha! Our soul! Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

You have done these things, and I have kept silence; you thought that being I would be like you; but I will rebuke you and set in order before your eyes.

Our God comes, and He is not silent; a fire shall devour before Him; and it shall be very stormy around Him.

For I was jealous of those boasting; I saw the peace of the wicked ones.

A Song. A Psalm of Asaph. O God do not keep silence to Yourself; do not be speechless; yea, do not be still, O God.

A harsh vision is revealed to me; the one betraying betrays, and the one ravaging ravages. Go up, O Elam! Besiege, O Media! I have caused all her sighing to cease.

Will You restrain Yourself over these things, Jehovah? Will you be silent and exceedingly afflict us?
