And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he and his mother, and his servants, and his leaders, and his eunuchs. And the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
And at the turn of the year, King Nebuchadnezzar sent and brought him to Babylon, with the valuable vessels of the house of Jehovah, and made his kinsman Zedekiah to reign over Judah and Jerusalem.
Behold, the siege mounds have come to the city, to capture it. And the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, and the famine, and the plague. And what You have spoken has happened. And, behold, You see it.
For so says Jehovah, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are broken down to defend against the siege mounds, and against the sword,
And I will pour out on you My disgust; with the fire of My wrath I will blow against you and give you into the hand of burning men, skilled in destruction.
He shall kill your daughters in the field with the sword. And he shall set siege walls against you and pour out a mound against you, and raise a buckler against you.
And it shall be in the day of the sacrifice of Jehovah, I will call to account on the rulers and on the king’s sons, and all those clothed in foreign clothing.
