And he waited yet another seven days, and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark.

And it was after the seven days, the waters of the flood came into being on the earth.

For after seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth forty days and forty nights and will wipe out every living substance that I have made from off the face of the earth.

And the dove came in to him in the evening. And, behold! In her mouth was a newly plucked live leaf. So Noah knew that the waters had gone down from off the earth.

And he waited another seven days and sent forth the dove. And she did not return again to him any more.

But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned to him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of all the earth. And he put out his hand and took her, and pulled her in to him into the ark.

To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. Waiting I have waited on Jehovah; and He turned to me and heard my cry.

Yea, Jehovah, in the path of Your judgments we awaited You; for Your name and for Your memory is the desire of our soul.

And I will wait for Jehovah, who hides His face from the house of Jacob; and I will look for Him.

But if we hope for what we do not see, by patient endurance we eagerly await it.
