And it happened on the third day, they being pained, that the two sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brothers, each took his sword. And they came on the city in its security, and killed every male.
And he said, Peace to you; do not fear; your God and the God of your father has given a treasure to you in your sacks; your silver came to me. And he brought Simeon out to them.
And Joseph hurried, for he was stirred, and he was deeply moved toward his brother. And he sought for a place to weep; and he came into the inner room and wept there.
And Joseph was not able to control himself in regard to those standing beside him. And he called out, Cause every man to go out from me. And no man stood before him as Joseph was making himself known to his brothers.
In all their affliction, He was not a foe; and the Angel of His Presence saved them. In His love and in His pity He redeemed them. And He bore them up, and He lifted them up all the days of old.
