And men, Midianites, traders, passed. And they drew up and took Joseph out of the pit, and they sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver. And they brought Joseph into Egypt.

And they drew up Jeremiah with ropes and brought him up out of the pit. And Jeremiah dwelt in the court of the prison.

And if from a son of five years to a son of twenty years, then your evaluation shall be twenty shekels for the male and ten shekels for the female.

And the name of the woman who was struck, the woman of Midian, was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head of the people of a father’s house in Midian.

Distress the Midianites; and you shall strike them;

said, What will you give to me, and I will give Him over to you? “And they weighed to him thirty silver pieces.” Zech. 11:12

Then was fulfilled that spoken through Jeremiah the prophet, saying, And I took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of Him who had been priced, on whom they of the sons of Israel set a price,

And being jealous of Joseph, the patriarchs gave him over into Egypt; and God was with him,

And the men of Israel said to Gideon, rule over us, both you and your son, and your son’s son, for you have delivered us from the hand of Midian.

And Gideon said to them, Let me ask of you a request, that each man give to me a ring from his plunder; for they had gold rings, because they were Ishmaelites.
