And it happened when Laban heard the report of Jacob, his sister’s son, he ran to meet him and embraced him and kissed him. And he took him to his house. And he told Laban all these things.
And Joseph hurried, for he was stirred, and he was deeply moved toward his brother. And he sought for a place to weep; and he came into the inner room and wept there.
And one carried portions from before him to them, and Benjamin’s portion was greater than the portions of all of them, five hands. And they drank and were drunken with him.
And Joseph prepared his chariot and went up to meet his father Israel to Goshen. And he appeared to him, and fell on his neck and wept on his neck a long time.
And Joab came to the king and told him. And he called to Absalom; and he came to the king, and bowed to him on his nose to the earth before the king. And the king kissed Absalom.
O Lord, I pray, let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who delight to fear Your name. And, I pray, prosper Your servant today and grant him mercy before this man. For I was cupbearer to the king.
And they lifted up their eyes from afar and did not recognize him. And they lifted up their voice and wept. And each man tore his robe; and they sprinkled dust on their heads toward the heavens.
And rising up, he came to his father. But he yet being far away, his father saw him and was moved with compassion. And running, he fell on his neck and fervently kissed him.
The boy left, and David rose up from the south side. And he fell on his face to the ground. And he bowed three times. And they each one kissed his friend. And they each wept on his friend, until David grew great in grief.
