And Rachel said, God has judged and has also heard my voice, and has given me a son. So she called his name Dan.
And Bilhah conceived and bore a son to Jacob.
And Bilhah, Rachel’s slave-girl, conceived again, and bore a second son to Jacob.
And the sons of Bilhah, Rachel’s slavegirl: Dan and Naphtali.
And the son of Dan was Hushim.
Judge me, O Jehovah my God, according to Your righteousness; and do not let them rejoice over me.
Judge me, O God, and strive for my cause against a nation not godly. Deliver me from the man of deceit and injustice.
And I bought the girdle according to the Word of Jehovah and put it on my loins.
And I will scatter them as the stubble that passes away to the wilderness wind.

Of the sons of Dan, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ house in the number of names, from a son of twenty years and upward, everyone able to go out to war:
And these shall stand on Mount Ebal to curse: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion’s whelp; he shall leap from Bashan.
