And Jacob loved Rachel, and said, I will serve you seven years for Rachel, your younger daughter.

And he also went in to Rachel, and he also loved Rachel more than Leah. And he served with him yet another seven years.

And Laban said to Jacob, What have you done? And you have stolen my heart and have taken my daughters like captives of the sword.

And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid. For I said, Lest by force you take your daughters from me.

And you know that with all my power I have served your father.

And Jacob fled into the field of Syria, and Israel served for a wife; even he kept watch for a wife.
