for God knows that in the day you eat of it, even your eyes shall be opened, and you shall become like God, knowing good and evil.

but of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil you may not eat, for in the day of the eating of it, dying you shall die.

And out of the ground Jehovah God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food. And the Tree of Life was also in the middle of the garden, and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

And he said, I have heard Your sound in the garden, and I was afraid, for I am naked, and I hid myself.

And Jehovah God said, Behold! The man has become as one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put forth his hand and also take from the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever,

And the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed leaves of the fig tree, and made girdles for themselves.

And the king of Israel gathered the prophets, about four hundred men, and said to them, Shall I go to battle against Ramoth-gilead, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up, that the Lord may give it into the hand of the king.

And now, do not let Hezekiah deceive you, and not lure you like this, and not believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to deliver his people from my hand, from the hand of my fathers; also, surely your god shall not deliver you from my hand.

You shall not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain; for Jehovah will not leave unpunished the one who takes His name in vain.

And Pharaoh said, Who is Jehovah that I should listen to His voice to send away Israel? I do not know Jehovah, and I also will not send Israel away.

I will go up over the heights of the clouds; I will be likened to the Most High.

Because you have saddened the heart of the righteous one with lies, and I have not pained him, and you have made the hands of the wicked one strong, so that he should not turn from his evil way, to keep him alive.

Son of man, lift up a lament over the king of Tyre, and say to him, So says the Lord Jehovah: You seal the measure, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.

Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, So says the Lord Jehovah, Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said, I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods, in the heart of the seas; yet you are a man, and not God, though you give your heart as the heart of gods.

Saying, do you say, I am of the gods before him who kills you? But you are a man, and not God, in the hands of him piercing you.

Speak and say, So says the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, great monster who lies in the midst of his rivers, who has said, My river is mine, and I have made it.

The king answered and said, Is this not great Babylon that I have built for the house of the kingdom, by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty?

All the presidents of the kingdom, the prefects, and the satraps, the officials and the governors, have planned together to lift up a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, except from you, O king, he shall be thrown into the den of lions.

But if your eye is evil, all your body is dark. If, therefore, the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness into light, and from the authority of Satan onto God, in order for them to receive remission of sins, and an inheritance among the ones being sanctified by faith into Me.

But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your thoughts should be corrupted from the simplicity which is due to Christ.

in whom the god of this age has blinded the thoughts of the faithless ones, so that the illumination of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine on them.

the one opposing and exalting himself over every thing being called God, or object of worship, so as for him “to sit in the temple of God” as God, setting forth himself, that he is God. Dan. 11:36; Eze. 28:2

And it leads astray the ones dwelling on the earth, because of the signs which were given to it to do before the beast, saying to the ones dwelling on the earth to make an image to the beast who has the wound of the sword, and lived.

And they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like the beast; who is able to make war with it?

only that the generations of the sons of Israel might know, to teach them war, only those who did not before know them:
