And Jehovah said to her, Two nations are in your womb; even two peoples shall break from your body. And one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

And his father refused and said, I know, my son, I know. He also shall be a people, and he shall become great. But his younger brother shall become greater than he, and his seed shall become the fullness of the nations.

And he put garrisons in all Edom, in all Edom he put garrisons, and all Edom became servants to David. And Jehovah saved David in all places in which he went.

No king was in Edom; a deputy was king.

and he put garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites were servants to David. And Jehovah preserved David wherever he went.

And David was the youngest. And the three eldest had gone after Saul.
