that he may give to me the cave of Machpelah which he has, which is in the edge of his field. In full silver let him give it to me among you, for a possession of a burying place.
And Ephron was sitting among the sons of Heth. And Ephron the Hittite replied to Abraham in the ears of the sons of Heth, to all those entering the gate of his city, saying,
And he commanded them, and said to them, I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me beside my fathers, at the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
And his sons carried him to the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah; the field which Abraham bought for a burying place from Ephron the Hittite, before Mamre.
And David said to Ornan, Give me the site of the threshing-floor, and I will build an altar to Jehovah in it; for full silver give it to me, and the plague will be restrained from the people.
And King David said to Ornan, No, for buying I will buy it for full silver, for I will not lift up what is yours to Jehovah, so as to offer a burnt offering without cost.
