And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarmers having a soul of life; and let the birds fly over the earth and the expanse of the heavens.

Yea, He loads the cloud with moisture; He scatters His lightning cloud;

To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens are recounting the glory of God, and the expanse is declaring His handiwork.

Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.

Through the Word of Jehovah the heavens were made; and all their host by the breath of His mouth.

For He spoke, and it came into being; He commanded, and it stood fast.

If the clouds are full of rain, they empty on the earth. And if the tree falls in the south, or in the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it shall be.

He abiding over the circle of the earth sees and ones living in it are like grasshoppers; He who stretches the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to live in;

But Jehovah is the true God, He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath the earth shall quake, and the nations shall not be able to stand His indignation.

He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, and stretched out the heavens by His understanding.

The burden of the Word of Jehovah for Israel, a statement of Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens, and founds the earth, and who forms the spirit of man within him.

For this escapes their notice by their willing it so, that heavens were of old, and earth by water, and through water, subsisting by the Word of God,
