Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit placed you as overseers, to shepherd the assembly of God which He purchased through His own blood.
And not only so, but also we ourselves having the firstfruit of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly awaiting adoption, the redemption of our body;
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, “Accursed is everyone having been hung on a tree;” Deut. 21:23
who gave Himself on our behalf, “that He might redeem us from all lawlessness” “and purify” “for Himself a people for Himself for possession,” zealous of good works. Psa. 130:8; Eze. 37:23; Deut. 14:2
who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and bearing up all things by the Word of His power, having made purification of our sins through Himself, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high, Psa. 110:1
nor through the blood of goats and of calves, but through His own blood, He entered once for all into the Holy of Holies, having procured everlasting redemption.
And because of this He is Mediator of a new covenant, so that, death having occurred for redemption of transgressions under the first covenant, the ones being called might receive the promise of the everlasting inheritance.
Because even Christ once suffered concerning sins, the Just One on behalf of the unjust ones, that He might bring us to God; indeed being put to death in the flesh, but being made alive in the Spirit;
And they sing as a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders. And no one was able to learn the song if not the hundred and forty-four thousands, the ones being redeemed from the earth.
And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy are You to receive the scroll, and to open its seals, because You were slaughtered, and by Your blood purchased us to God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
