And I went up according to revelation. And I put before them the gospel which I proclaim in the nations, but privately to the ones thought to be pillars, lest perhaps I run, or I ran, to no purpose.

But from the ones thought to be something (of what kind they were then does not matter to me; God does not accept the face of man), for the ones thought to be pillars conferred nothing to me;

holding forth the Word of life, for a boast to me in the day of Christ, that I ran not in vain, nor labored in vain.

Because of this, no longer enduring, I also sent to know your faith, that the tempting one not somehow tempt you, and our labor should come to be in vain.

and knowing the grace being given to me, James and Cephas and John, the ones thought to be pillars, gave right hands of fellowship to Barnabas and to me, that we go to the nations, but they to the circumcision;

Therefore, so I run, as not uncertainly; so I fight, as not beating air;

we, on the other hand, preach Christ crucified (truly a stumbling block to Jews, and a pitfall to Greeks),

Do you not know that those running in a stadium indeed all run, but one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain.

For I decided not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ, and Him being crucified.

And all the multitude was silent and were hearing Barnabas and Paul recounting as many things as God did through them among the nations, even the miraculous signs and wonders.

And arriving into Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the assembly and the apostles and the elders. And they reported as many things as God did with them.

Therefore receive him in the Lord with all joy and hold such in honor,

to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the nations, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood,

And in the following night standing by him the Lord said, Be cheered, Paul, for as you fully testified the things concerning Me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify at Rome.

And the Lord said to Paul through a vision in the night, Do not fear, but speak, and do not keep silence;

But a certain one standing up in the sanhedrin, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law honored by all the people, commanded the apostles to be put outside a little while.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

As flies of death cause the perfumer’s oil to stink and ferment; so a little foolishness is heavier than wisdom and honor.

Therefore strife and not a little discussion with them occurring by Paul and Barnabas, they appointed Paul and Barnabas and some others of them to go up into Jerusalem to the apostles and elders concerning this question.

So, then, it is not of the one willing, nor of the one running, but of the One having mercy, of God.

Really, to boast is not profitable to me, for I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

I wonder that you are so quickly turning away from the One having called you in the grace of Christ to another gospel,

For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but by a revelation of Jesus Christ.

You were running well; who beat you back that you do not obey the truth?

I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.

So therefore we also, having so great a cloud of witnesses lying around us, having laid aside every weight and the easily surrounding sin, through patience let us also run the race being set before us,
